Welcome to CEAB

Public Act 07-242, An Act Concerning Electricity and Energy Efficiency, (View Excerpts.) reconstituted the Connecticut Energy Advisory Board (CEAB) and modified its mission as of June 2007. However, the primary goal for this board remains to encourage competing energy solutions and to provide the opportunity to review multiple energy solutions simultaneously.

The CEAB is responsible for representing the state in regional energy planning, participating in the state's annual load forecast proceeding, and reviewing the procurement plan submitted by electric distribution companies. Click here to view a summary of all the impacts on CEAB of the new legislation.

CEAB Guiding Principles

Citizens and businesses in Connecticut must have access to a safe, affordable, diverse and reliable energy supply.

Connecticut's policy makers must act in forums where the state's energy interests can be advanced.

Connecticut's policy makers must act in a coordinated fashion on both a state and regional basis to address energy issues.
