CEAB Energy Requests for Proposals
REACTIVE RFPS
The CEAB is required by statute to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to seek alternative solutions to the need addressed by certain proposed facilities that file an application with the Siting Council. See Conn. Gen. Stat. Section 16a-7c(b).
CEAB's RFP process is designed to ensure that the Siting Council is able to evaluate a proposed facility simultaneously with any potential alternatives to it. The CEAB will evaluate projects proposed in response to an RFP according to the CEAB's Preferential Criteria, adopted pursuant to Connecticut General Statute Section 16a-7b. The Preferential Criteria are at http://www.ctenergy.org/Criteria.html.
